The first focused inspection of a multi-academy Trust (MAT) took place in March 2015. While other news at the time meant that this passed with little fanfare, it has far-reaching implications for MATs and their schools.
While this Ofsted inspection does not make a ‘binary’ judgement, the criticism (or indeed praise) that will follow the advisory letter will carry significant weight with parents, pupils and the Department for Education.
Place Group has been conducting reviews of MATs’ performance since 2013 when we were engaged by an Academy Trust seeking external validation and advice to drive quicker improvement at a school and Trust level.
As with all our services, each is designed with the exact requirements of the Trust at the forefront.
